When we founded AEY Developers, we saw immense potential in real estate investments in both San Diego and Detroit. However, we felt there was a gap in the industry—a need for developers who prioritize not just high returns for investors, but a community-first approach. We aim to bridge that gap by building projects that not only yield strong financial returns but also positively impact and respect the communities where we work.
San Diego is where we call home. With its high coastal demand and the city’s development incentives, it’s the ideal environment for new growth that meets local housing needs. When looking beyond San Diego, Detroit stood out to us with its unique blend of deal flow, appreciation potential, strong cash flow, and increasing demand.

Robert Kodama
For over 16 years, Robert has successfully designed, built, renovated, and managed real estate across various asset classes, including single-family, multi-family, and hospitality properties. He is a dynamic entrepreneur and investor with a diverse portfolio encompassing ventures in lifestyle, social media, beverage, technology, and e-commerce. Among his accomplishments, he co-founded CollegeClub.com and later established the performance athletic brand, Injinji Footwear.
Jordan Kabins
Jordan Kabins brings over five years of real estate expertise to AEY Developers, with a background as a licensed real estate agent in San Diego. His work with developers has contributed hundreds of apartments to the local market, reflecting his deep understanding of property acquisition and investment. Jordan leads the deal-sourcing and market analysis for AEY, focusing on high-opportunity areas in San Diego and Detroit. Driven by a vision to deliver exceptional returns for investors while honoring community values, Jordan’s approach combines strategic growth with a commitment to respectful, positive neighborhood impact.
